I’ve been posting a ton of newborns lately, because I have had an influx of spring babies this year, which makes me heart so happy, but I have photographed a few families this spring, as well.

Over my spring break, I packed my youngest and I up and headed to California for 5 days of rest and relaxation with some dear friends of ours. A Disneyland trip was also in order for us, since we were going to be there anyway, and my youngest hadn’t yet turned 3 years old, which meant that she would still get in for free – score!!!

We spent 3 days in the Anaheim area, then headed up to Big Bear Lake for 2 days of lounging, and the occasional snow boarding (I did not go snowboarding, but my friends did).  I took some pictures of my friend’s family while we were there, and of course, I took quite a lot of pictures of my youngest while at Disneyland, which I am still slowly culling through.

However, here are some of my favorites for now….

This one is one of my favorites. After a full day at the parks, we had gone back to the hotel to let my youngest take a late nap, before heading back out for the fireworks show at Disneyland. On our way out of the hotel, my friend Ashley and my youngest, Emilynn, were stopped outside our door, sharing a candid conversation (no doubt, about Minnie Mouse, I’m sure! 😉 ), when I noticed the AMAZING light that was peeking out beneath the roofline, silhouetting them perfectly.  I quickly grabbed my camera and snapped this picture.  I love how the hotel railing and roofline leads your eye directly to them, and you can see parts of California Adventure in the background.  A moment captured in time…THIS is why I do what I do.
