When I have an amazing session, I can’t stop myself from over-posting on the sneak peeks, and little Colin’s newborn session was no exception!

Colin’s mama wasn’t planning on having newborn photos taken, since she didn’t have them done of her other 3 children, but after his birth, she found herself really wanting to document this last little bundle of hers, and I was thrilled that she called me to do them for her.

Awhile back, I had paid for an online workshop, teaching about the minimalistic approach to photographing newborns, and I couldn’t wait to try it.  Colin was such an amazing sleeper at 15 days old, so I asked his mama to bring him back a couple days later, so I could try some new setups that I had learned in the online workshop I took.

We got some amazing shots and, as you can tell, they are quickly becoming some of my favorite newborn images to date!  I think this may be something that I will be implementing in future newborn sessions, because I enjoyed the simplicity of it so much. 🙂
