The Ortman family {Kingman, AZ Family Photographer | Williams, AZ Family Photographer}

My busy season is over, so I finally have some time to go back and blog some sessions that I did before I got busy with fall family sessions.  And because it has been so cold out lately, first up is a session I did over the summer, in Williams, AZ, when the wildflowers were in full bloom. 🙂

The Ortman family have been coming to me for the past two years now, and I absolutely adore this family! They are kind and sweet, and their kids are adorable.  Mom had been wanting a wildflower session for over a year, back when I first stumbled upon these flower fields while on a camping trip with my family back in the summer of 2014.  So, I promised her that I would let her know as soon as the fields were in bloom again, and head up there for a session.

Being a photographer in Arizona during the monsoon season can be tricky, because the weather can be so unpredictable sometimes, and this day was no exception. I was literally checking the weather on my computer every hour all day long, hoping that the rain would stay away.  What made it even harder was that the location was 1.5 hours away from where we live.  About 30 minutes away from the location, there was some rain, but it quickly subsided and we were able to start the session right on time.

The images all turned out beautifully, and even though we didn’t make it to the bigger flower field in time before the light was too far gone (and the youngest was clearly done! 😉 ), this is still one of my favorite family sessions. 🙂

Enjoy!
